MARCCH volunteers have finished the 20 mile walk in aid of the Children of Chechnya.

MARCCH volunteers are taking to the English countryside on Wednesday 23rd June to raise funds for and awareness of MARCCH projects.

Recently MARCCH has been able to purchase life-saving equipment and medical supplies to the main childrens hospital in Grozny. This equipment will make a real difference to the treatment and recovery of many of the children entering the hospital.

MARCCH exceeded its fundraising target which enabled us to buy and successfully deliver 300, 000 syringes for TB detection to the Chechen Health Authorities. This programme will help to detect and assess rates of exposure to TB to better wage its campaign of treating and ultimately eradicating this illness. MARCCH completed this assignment with help from Medecins Sans Frontieres, MSF and Muslim Aid. Needless to say that the struggle against this merciless disease which is rampant in Chechnya continues and MARCCH stands ready to play its part whenever it can in the future.
